Community Soccer
Mini Soccer Development
Using funding provided by Saskatoon Youth Soccer, Hollandia works closely with Community Associations to provide programming that develops both players and coaches. Two programs are currently funded by SYSI: The Community Head Coach program which funds an honorarium for a Hollandia coach to oversee mini soccer development in the Community Associations, and the Mini-Soccer Development program which provides significant funding for coaches and facilities which are used in Hollandia/SYSI's popular Soccer Saturday program.
Hollandia believes that there should be multiple different streams for players of all abilities and interest levels to participate in the beautiful game.
Rather than force all kids into a more structured environment, with increased time commitments, the club recognizes the importance of a combination of community soccer and club soccer for mini-soccer players.
If your son or daughter is interested in kicking a ball around once per week, for fun only, then community soccer is the best fit. If your young athlete wants to enter into an environment that is geared toward developing their skills to their full potential, then club soccer is a better option.
